Cleaning Tips for Your Glacier Ice House

Cleaning your Glacier Ice House while you are on the road isn’t the easiest of things since you usually don’t pack up the vacuum cleaner. However, if you do need to clean a spot on the rug or get something sticky off the floor (or even if you need to clean the windows while you are on the road), you can pack an effective spot cleaner and other cleaners that don’t take much space.

Spot Cleaner for Carpets

Keep vinegar and baking soda on hand for the carpet. To clean a spot, soak up any excess liquid from the spill. Rub baking soda into the stain and let it set for a few minutes. If the spot is dry, add a little water – just enough to make the baking soda damp. Using a damp rag, pick up the baking soda. To get rid of any smell, rub the area with vinegar and then “rinse” it with a wet rag. Don’t soak the rag unless the mess is really bad. If you do have to use more water, have towels or rags ready to soak up the excess water. If the spot is really bad, you may have to repeat the procedure.

Great Cleaner for Counters and Floors

Grab a small container of Clorox wipes. They clean just about anything including appliances, the counter tops and even floors if you spill something. They are great for something you missed and is stuck to the floor, such as spilled juice from the kids and even cooked on spills on the stove.

Window Cleaner

Use an aerosol window cleaner instead of the spray bottle cleaner. The aerosol can takes less space, and if you find a non-streak brand, it takes less of the chemical to clean. And, this is useful for cleaning the outside window of the microwave and to give appliances a shine.
